Ronaldo Goes to Juventus
He’s done it. Cristiano Ronaldo is leaving Real Madrid for Juventus. The news was announced on Tuesday morning, with the Italian club paying €100 million for the 33-year-old forward. This is a shocking move that will have repercussions throughout the football world. His decision to go to Juve and not another Premier League side or back to his former club Manchester United is a statement in itself.
The Portuguese star becomes one of just three active players who have scored 400 or more goals in professional soccer, along with Lionel Messi and retired Brazilian striker Ronaldo (no relation).
He has been the top scorer in the Champions League five times and won two La Liga titles and four Champions Leagues while at Real Madrid but he leaves as their all-time leading goalscorer. His departure means they must now find another talisman – one who can also reach new heights – if they are to dominate European soccer once again as they did under his tenure there.
Coutinho is joining Barca from Liverpool
Brazilian international Philippe Coutinho is set to join Barcelona from Liverpool in a deal worth up to £142million. The 25-year-old has been a long-term target for the Catalan giants and they have finally got their man after agreeing on a fee with the Reds. Coutinho will sign a five-and-a-half-year contract at the Nou Camp and is expected to be officially unveiled as a Barca player on Monday. He will become the second most expensive signing in the club’s history behind only Ousmane Dembele, who joined from Borussia Dortmund last summer for £97m.
Neymar leaves PSG for Real Madrid
Neymar has completed his move from Paris Saint-Germain to Real Madrid, the Spanish club announced on Monday. The 28-year-old Brazilian forward signed a five-year contract with Madrid, which will keep him at the club until June 2025. Neymar is joining Madrid from PSG in a deal worth an initial €222 million (US$262 million), making him the second most expensive player in history after Kylian Mbappe. The transfer fee could rise to €280 million (US$335 million) with add-ons. Neymar will wear the number 7 shirt for Madrid, which was vacated by Cristiano Ronaldo when he left for Juventus last year ข่าวฟุตบอลล่าสุด.
Hazard has agreed on terms with Real Madrid
It’s official: Eden Hazard has agreed to terms with Real Madrid. The Belgian star will join the Spanish giants in a deal worth up to £150 million, making him the most expensive footballer in history. Hazard leaves Chelsea after seven years, during which time he won two Premier League titles, an FA Cup, and a League Cup. He departs as the club’s all-time leading goalscorer in European competition, with 21 goals. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
Barcelona Sets Sights on David De Gea
According to the Spanish newspaper El Pais, Barcelona has set its sights on signing Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea. The Catalan club is reportedly willing to pay up to €80 million for the 27-year-old, who is considered one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
Courtois agrees to join Real Madrid
Thibaut Courtois has agreed to join Real Madrid from Chelsea in a deal worth around £35 million, the clubs have announced. The Belgian goalkeeper will sign a six-year contract at the Bernabeu and will be officially presented on Thursday.
Courtois leaves Chelsea after seven years, during which time he won two Premier League titles, an FA Cup, and a League Cup. He made 154 appearances for the club, but spent three seasons on loan at Atletico Madrid, winning the La Liga title and the Copa del Rey.
Liverpool to release Oxlade-Chamberlain and Lallana
Liverpool is set to release both Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Adam Lallana this summer, according to reports. The Reds are said to be willing to let the pair leave on free transfers as they look to clear up space in their squad for new signings. This comes as a blow to both players, who have been with the club for a number of years and have been key members of the squad. It will be interesting to see where they end up next season.
